An important part of this trip to Honduras was to honor one of our steadfast donors throughout the years that Salud Hondu has been in existence. Karl and Connie Sutter have been a tremendous blessing to our clinic and its staff. When Connie developed a serious medical condition, she and Karl determined that, in addition to continuing their support of Clinica Santa Maria, they would make an additional, significant special donation after her passing. Our Board was indeed humbled, and decided to honor her with a special memorial ceremony at the location where a garden is being constructed in Reitoca and where a memorial sundial will be placed with the plaque which you see. Penny and I brought the sundial and plaque with us, and Fr. Bob Kus, who is a Board member and resides full-time in Reitoca, is having a brick stand being built on which the sundial will rest.
